Geometry of the Showerdetector in Geant
by Ilse Koenig, April 8, 1998
The geometry was implemented by Jacek Otwinowski from Krakow
Fig 1: Drawing of the Showerdetector.
Fig 2: Geometry tree of the Showerdetector in Geant
Fig 2: Cut through Showerdetector at the upper edge and at x=0.
The y-axis points upward and the z-axis to the right.
The keepin volume SHKx (filled with AIR$) in each sector
contains three modules: SH1M (Preshower),
SH2M and SH3M
(Postshower). SH1M and SH2M contain a Lead converter
SxPB.
Fig 2: Geometry tree of the Preshower in Geant
Fig 2: Cut through the Preshower at the upper edge and at x=0.
The y-axis points upward and the z-axis to the right.
The volume S1AO contains the active volume
S1AI (filled with DRIFTGAS_SHOWER$) with the padplane
S1SW (filled with TU_CU_BE_WIRES$) in the middle.
The frames S1FB and
S1FB (filled with ALUMINIUM$)
contain an inner volume S1IB and S1IT (filled with
AIR$) with the 7-fold support structure made from
ALUMINIUM$.
These inner volume are visible only in Fig. 2.
