Geometry of the TOF in Geant

Fig 1: Cut through Sector 1 at z=0.

The 22 Tofs in each sector are packed into different keepin volumes: These keepin volumes are calculated in the program from the corners of the first and last Tof in each keepinvolume and the corners of the bottom plane of the Shower detector (individually in each sector).

Fig 2: Geometry tree of TOF in Sector 1.

Each Tof consists of a box TxxF filled with CARBONFIBRE$ containing a box TxxI filled with INSULATOR_TOF$. (xx stands for the number of the Tof.) In this inner box are the 8 identical Scintillator rods TxxS1... TxxS8.

Fig 3: Cut through T01F at x=0

Fig 3 shows a cut through the middle of Tof 1 at the lower end. The y-axis of the intrisic coordinate sytem is pointing upwards and the z-axis to the right.

Fig 4: Cut through T15F at z=0

In Tof 1...14 all boxes have the same x-coordinates, they have the same lenght in x-direction.
In Tof 15...22 the carbonfibre-box and the insulator-box are longer then the scintillator rods. All scintillator rods are identical but they are positioned in a way that they reach alternate to the left or right edge of the insulator-box. This is demonstated in Fig 4, which shows a cut through the middle of Tof 15 at the left end. In this figure the y-axis of the intrisic coordinate sytem points upwards and the x-axis to the right.
