HP 9000 C8000 specific notes

This is the last of HP's PA-RISC workstations, and my model is (almost) top of the line. I spotted it by chance at a local reseller, who normally sells PC stuff, but occasionally has RISC stuff on return from lease. He did not know how to handle it, so I took his very genereous offer, it was a real bargain.
The C8000 is pretty fast but nevertheless extremely quiet. It generates quite a bit of heat though, so in winter time I don't need extra heating (shame on me, electrical heating isn't very ecological these days).
For me, it makes a good workhorse for compute- and memory-intensive stuff, it's my most powerful home machine.
