After some time, the keyboard sends another string "Keyboard resend 0xed, 0x00" and then shows a PANIC - End of Diagnostic Log, and then drops to the boot monitor prompt. The real problem appears to be the use of LEDs on the Siemans keyboard. The "Resend 0xed" is a message that the firmware in the keyboard is attempting to do something with the LED ("ed" = LED) and is causing the server panic. What is needed is to change all LED settings in your config file to disabled (or the equvialent). For example, try setting "led-entry = mod1" and then the "pref-keyboard-leds" parameter in your config file and reboot. You will not need a different keyboard controller or boot proms. The problem appears to be with that particular German Siemens keyboard only, and for now this is the only work around available.
