Start the app Scheduling.
Select [+] and "create new pattern", mark the empty pattern (blue
frame) and click on [edit].
Click [+] to add a new chain.
Click [edit] to define the chain
Select parts of chain and click [accept]
Choose extraction type
Alternatively you can select the chain from an existing template:
Click on little arrow next to [+], from th elong list of templates
choose the one matching your case.
You can [view] the picture of the beamline,
Enter ion species, energies and extraction time
Wait, up to minute(s)
Copy chain into pattern, maybe wait more.
Pattern appears as preview with cycle time (here for only 100ms
extraction time), click [Schedule Planning] to create pattern.
Pattern appears in Scheduler.
Right click on available pattern and in context menue select
"Schedule pattern".
Chose a matching UNILAC machine or none for testing only.
The pattern should appear in the scheduled pattern section but
with a big yellow cross.
Now click on [Supply] and wait. 
If there is no error in the setting after a while the pattern
will become a scheduled pattern with a green ok mark (
).
Do not forget to activate and to request the pattern afterward in
the separate BSS app.
