Network Computers Year 2000 is a major IS issue. I would like to assure you that NCDs NCs, which are based on the NCDware operating system, will not be affected by this issue. Year 2000 affects computer systems that calculate, process, or store any type of date-related data. NCDware does not utilize date and time fields for any of its calculations. Therefore, NCDware is immune to both system crashes and erroneous data calculations associated with the Year 2000 issue. WinCenter Network Computing Devices, Inc. manufactures WinCenter Pro server software that allows desktop devices to access Windows NT servers and to execute the programs that are resident on these servers. Layered with WinCenter is software that is manufactured by Citrix under license from Microsoft. Year 2000 Compliance does not apply to WinCenter Connect, NCD's portion. While we do not think there are Year 2000 issues within WinFrame, Citrix' portion of our product, you will need to contact them for that assurance. They can be reached at 800-437-7503. In short, WinCenter Pro server software is Year 2000 compliant. PC-Xware Network Computing Devices, Inc. manufactures PC-Xware PC software that allows PCs to access UNIX applications on servers and to format and display the output of these applications. In light of this, the Year 2000 compliance issue does not apply to PC-Xware. Any Year 2000 issues that might exist could only be associated with individual applications that are not affected by our product. In short, PC-Xware software is Year 2000 compliant.
