                 | NCDware 4.1.141 Servers |
                 *-----------------------------------------*

Terminals Supported by This Release:
-----------------------------------

This release provides X servers and host-based support files for the
HMX family of terminals (HMX, HMX-Pro, and HMX-Pro24), and the Explora
family of terminals (Explora and Explora-Pro).

Unsupported Terminals:
---------------------

NCDware 3.5 is the latest release to support the following terminals:

        NCD14c, NCD15b, NCD19r, NCD17c, NCD17cr, NCD17fs, NCD19c, NCD19cp, NCD19g,
NCD20ct, MCX and ECX families of terminals.

NCDware 3.3.2 was the latest release to support NCD15r. (Note: The 15r is
not "officially" supported in 3.5.120 because Engineering did not
have the resources to test and QA the 15r with 3.5.120. However,
since we know that the 15r and 19r are very similiar products, we don't
	foresee a problem running 3.5.120 on a 15r.)

NCDware 3.2.1 was the latest release to support NCD19 terminal.

NCDware 3.1 was the latest release to support NCD16, NCD16e, and NCD19b.

Key Features:
------------

o Support two additional host types:

         -- SGI/IRIX
         -- AXP/OpenVMS 6.1

o Distribution is available on CD-ROM or on Quick Start
          PCMCIA cards.

o License management software is included, providing management
tools for floating, site, and node-locked licenses for NCDware
          features.

o Failover features in this release ensure that a single point of
failure does not hinder terminal operation:

-- Additional configuration parameters for naming secondary
and tertiary boot hosts if the primary boot host doesn't respond.

-- Additional configuration parameters for naming secondary
and tertiary boot sources to respond if the primary source
           is not available.

-- Sympathetic BOOTP (bootstrap protocol) mode, specifying
conditions under which a secondary BOOTP daemon on a secondary
server should respond to BOOTP request.

-- Multiple direct XDM servers in the Login Choosers.

-- Automatic cycling through multiple login hosts for connections
via TELNET and LAT to the NCD Terminal Emulator.

-- Redundant font server specification using an enhanced font path
           syntax.

o NCDware now includes an enhanced BOOTP to provide automatic IP
assignment from a pre-reserved pool of addresses.

systems on floppy drives and PCMCIA cards

-- NFS booting from another terminal's local file system

-- NFS mount access to local file system on PCMCIA cards and floppy
           drives

o Unix hosts, font server has been upgraded to X11R6 standard.

to improve FAX quality. An SIE-to-XIE translation library for
applications written for SIE is also included.

o Other X11R6 compatibility enhancements include:
