How to connect an NCD 2.4.x system via SLIP
------------------------------

To configure your display for SLIP follow the steps below:

1. Configure the serial port
	Data Bits 	8
	Stop Bits	1
	Parity		None
	Handshake	DTR/DTS or RTS/CTS <match the modem or port>
	Baud Rate	xxxx Baud

2. In the Serial Parameters menu, select "Terminal Session" on the 
   "Use Port For" field

3. From the Serial Session window, log into SLIP host.

4. Go into SLIP mode.  This could be "slattach" or a SLIP command for gateways

5. In the Protocol Parameters menu, ensure the System's IP Address is set 
   correctly

6. In the Protocol Parameters menu, set the gateway internet address to the
   address of your Sun 4.

7. In the Serial Parameters menu, change Use Port For to Network Interface.

8. Verify the connection by pinging the sun 4 from the Utilities menu

9. Now use telnet to start X clients on the host machine.
