    Security hole in samba 2.2.7

A security hole was found in samba version 2.2.7 and earlier. We have upgrade our samba package to 2.2.8

    AIXPDSLIB's bind not vulnerable

CERT CA-2002-31 does not apply to AIXPDSLIB's bind, as the advisory is only for version 4 and 8. We are currently at bind 9.2.2.

AIXPDSLIB's libpcap and tcpdump not vulnerable

According to a report (here) and CERT CA-2002-30, libpcap's and tcpdump's source trees were replaced on certain ftp sites to include a trojan. We have checked the source of our libpcap and tcmpdump packages, and they are not vulnerable.
