Not much to say yet about this box.
It served as a desktop workstation in a research group,
back in the mid-1990's, when Alpha was hip, and was retired around 2000.
It was still in good working condition when I picked it up about ten years later.
Digital Unix 3.2D was installed,
but of course the boot process stuck because it lacked its usual network environment.
I managed to
rescue and reconfigure the system for my own use.
Because it has two disk bays, I took the chance and loaded a second disk with
OSF/1 2.0,
which is somehow contemporary to the hardware.
