The series 8000 computers are real hardware in the original sense.
Their case is all made of steel and thus very solid.
As with most Motorola computers it is essentially a VME chassis
in disguise.
I obtained one of these dinosaurs on eBay 2005 or 2006, relatively cheap
compared to its rarety. It even had a working System V/88k on it.
Unfortunately the PSU went belly up soon after I started testing, and it's probably next to
impossible to spot a replacement. So I probably will have to learn to fix ancient
PSUs by myself.

Booting via Console
Connect serial port #1 via DB9 connector.
On Amiga: Standard setting. Use Kermit
as terminal program.

If self-tests complete, select option #1 from presented menu.
