Past Research Projects

From 1995 until 2008 I was a member of the SLD collaboration. From 1996 through 2000 I participated in data taking and physics analysis with the SLD detector. I contributed to several SLD papers, including the measurement of leading particle effects in decays of Z0 bosons into light flavors (published in Physics Reviews Letters) and a study of the production of pions, kaons, K0s, K*, Phi, protons, and Lambdas in hadronic Z0 decays (published in Physics Review D).
Until August 1995 I was with the Physikalisches Institut of the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn. First, as a student of physics, astronomy and philosophy. Then, from October 1989 until June 1991, as a diploma student in high-energy physics. Finally, from September 1991 until August 1995, as a Ph.D. student in high-energy physics and as graduate research associate.
I worked on several physics analyses, focussing on strange particle production and correlations as a member of the OPAL collaboration. I also co-supervised several diploma theses and taught advanced lab classes at Bonn university.
My doctoral thesis with the title A study of the production of neutral kaons in hadronic Z0 decays and their Bose-Einstein correlations was completed in 1995 and published in Zeitschrift für Physik C.
